Why one liter of water is equivalent to one kilogram of water at room temperature?

Interview Question #064
One liter of water is equivalent to one kg at room temperature because at normal room temperature between 25°C and 30°C at plant operating condition and the variation in weight and volume of water is negligible.

One liter of pure water has one-kilogram weight at room temperature. This is a standard but it can vary on the change in temperature because the volume of water changes when temperature changes.
