To lay down the standard operating prodeure for the vacuum pump.2. SCOPE
This procedure is applicable for vacuum pump in Quality Control Department.3. RESPONSIBILITY

5.2 Ensure that all the connections of the equipment are proper.
5.3 Attach a silicon or rubber tubing to the outlet of the vacuum pump & attach another terminus of the tube to the required apparatus or equipment e.g. filtration assembly or vacuum oven.
5.4 Ensure that whole system is ready for the start-up of suction.
5.5 Turn on the mains as well as the button of the vacuum pump.
5.6 After vacuum creation activity is completed, turn off the pump.
5.7 Precautions: Never allow any liquid to enter the pump.
5. PROCEDURE
5.1 Ensure that unit is placed on sturdy & leveled surface.5.2 Ensure that all the connections of the equipment are proper.
5.3 Attach a silicon or rubber tubing to the outlet of the vacuum pump & attach another terminus of the tube to the required apparatus or equipment e.g. filtration assembly or vacuum oven.
5.4 Ensure that whole system is ready for the start-up of suction.
5.5 Turn on the mains as well as the button of the vacuum pump.
