SOP for Cleaning of Water Purification System

1.0 OBJECTIVE

To define the cleaning procedure of the instrument.

2.0 SCOPE

This procedure is applicable to water purification system, installed in Quality Control Dept.

3.0 RESPONSIBILITY

3.1 Doing : Technical Assistant
3.2 Checking : Executive/ Manager

4.0 ACCOUNTABILITY

Head of the Department

5.0 PROCEDURE

5.1 Switch ‘OFF’ the instrument.
5.2 Switch ‘OFF’ the mains.
5.3 Clean the outer surface of instrument with dry clean cotton cloth.
5.4 Disconnect the storage tank from water purification system.
5.5 Drain the water from tank.
5.6 Rinse the tank properly with distilled water.
5.7 Fill the tank with distilled water.
