SOP for Cleaning of Friability Test Apparatus

1.0 OBJECTIVE

To clearly lay down the procedure for cleaning

2.0 SCOPE

This procedure is applicable to friability test apparatus installed in Quality Control Department.

3.0 RESPONSIBILITY 

3.1 Doing : Technical Assistant
3.2 Checking : Executive /Manager

4.0 ACCOUNTABILITY 

Head of the department.

5.0 PROCEDURE

5.1 After completion of friability test, switch “OFF” the instrument.
5.2 Switch “OFF” the main power supply.
5.3 Remove the knob on the shaft by pressing the button on the knob and pull the knob out.
5.4 Remove the lid of drum and clean the lid with tissue paper.
5.5 Clean the drum with tissue paper and make it visually clean.
5.6 Sonicate the sieves in sonicator for about 5 to 10 mins.
5.7 Remove the sieves from sonicator.
5.8 Dry with in air.
