SOP for Cleaning of Vertical Autoclave

1.0 OBJECTIVE

To define the cleaning procedure.

2.0 SCOPE

This procedure is applicable for cleaning of Vertical Autoclave, installed in Micro Dept.

3.0 RESPONSIBILITY

3.1 Doing: Workman / Technical Assistant
3.2 Checking: Technical Assistant / Executive

4.0 ACCOUNTABILITY

Head of the Department

5.0 PROCEDURE

5.1 After completion of the cycle, switch off the instrument & mains.
5.2 Place a vessel below the drain valve provided at the bottom.
5.3 Open the drain valve to clean the chamber.
5.4 Clean the inner surface with a clean dry cotton cloth.
5.5 Record it in Annexure - I.
