Ammonium Thiocyanate Solution Preparation
- Dissolve 7.612 g of ammonium thiocyanate in sufficient water to produce 1000 ml.
- Standardize the solution in the following manner.

- Pipette out 30.0 ml of 0.1 M silver nitrate into a glass-stoppered flask and dilute with 50 ml of water.
- Add 2 ml of nitric acid and 2 ml of ferric ammonium sulfate solution.
- Titrate with the ammonium thiocyanate solution to the first appearance of a red-brown color.
